Ooltewah

Ok, the first thing you will ask is, "How do you pronounce that?" I will try to spell it phonetically... ULL TE WA. It's an indian term meaning "Home of the Owl". So if you are an Owl you will feel right at home owning real estate in Ooltewah. It's location is Northeast of Chattanooga and is shaped like a fat C starting at the Tennessee River, going accross I-75 at Exit 11 and then ending in back of the Northeastern part of East Brainerd.

Ooltewah used to be the county seat of James county before it went bankrupt in 1919. Now it is part of Hamilton County. Many people are drawn to Ooltewah because of it's great subdivisions and others because of it's great rural areas. Everyone benefits from Ooltewah residents only having to pay property taxes at the county rate.

It has just been announced that VW (as in Volkswagon) will be coming to the Enterprise South industrial & business site located just off of I-75 between East Brainerd, Brainerd, Harrison, and Ooltewah. Herzliches Willkommen nach Chattanooga!
